Adaptability, what is it? People say I am very adaptable and that used to make me happy at that moment and indirectly it was an expectation set for me from the world to continue to be so! and unknowingly I suffered. My perception(rather popular perception) of adaptability was to get used to anything happening around regardless of good or bad(Indians, it's in our DNA!) and tried my best to cope up with stuff. Some good example is my manager figured that I accept any rating during my appraisals and agree to cancel my leave plan anytime he asks me to. I continued that for a long time (after all I was 'adaptable') till I became too stressed, completely drained out. I guess there's a thin line between adaptability and safe guarding your interests and both can/should exist at the same time . What I lacked was exactly that. Root to all this is lack of self-esteem and urge to please everybody, which is the root to many problems. So you think and define what adaptability is, don't let others decide it. Again that doesn't mean say NO to everything and be rude and arrogant.

A good and steady beginning is essential to maintain good rapport, image in the work place, so better raise concerns at initial stages and give out a message that you are like this, this and this. Do this, before u get labelled as 'Adaptable' !

After 4 years ..

A question is bothering me from this morning, "How wise one should be after working for 4 years ?". Now that I'm almost 4 yrs exp guy I feel I should ask this question to myself and assess where I stand with respect to "wisdom" which comes from experience(anyway your manager would always assess your technical capabilities :)) , being wise in your work and life is very necessary to move on and it's as important as your skills.

Wisdom makes you matured, more matured you are better situations/environment you would choose for yourself and in a better environment you would be satisfied and it will complement the learning and competence also.

Now when I come to measure how matured I am, the results are not great. In such process its important be rightly critical neither too critical nor too liberal. I think I could've become much more wise and matured by taking account to the number of years and more importantly the exposure I have got. The problem which I could see for this shortfall is unaware of such thoughts rather completely blind towards such an idea.

Better late, than never. Hope I'd get some fruitful outcome!

Hello!!

Hi..posting after really long time ...well contents were there..topics were there ...just didn't do ...now when i am here to say something ...i have no specific topic to discuss :)
hmm lets discuss something happening ...may be global recession ?! ok but to be frak i have least economics knowledge ...i don't know exactly what could go wrong ..where etc ...but I feel it has  already affected (in people's minds!)virtually ..but being in IT industry i can see some changes for sure like disappearence of tissue papers, toffees  even paper cups so on.. i still feel ..the crisis hasn't yet entered till our life ...companies, for thier own interest exaggerating it .. well even if it's a false image ..being at the the lower side(means common man) we will have to adhere to it.. get ready to get looted ...ok will stop ..or else i may start sounding like a communist(buddijeevi :) )

ok deviating from previous topic i was just checking aamir khan's blogs ..man its really amazing to see such a great actor ...at our level ...interacting with people..may it's adding some value to his career ..hmm i feel definately it would be a great experience ..to interact with people ...and who knows can be a marketing technique as well ;-) ..no i am not taking him easily ...I personally admire him for his great work ...

Ok that's it for now ...bye
